Rehearsal schedule

MWF 0 period ALL  

T/Th 0 period Sinfonia 

Monday afternoon rehearsals as normal

8^th grade night Wednesday March 6 EDHS Joe Raya Gym

Performers: Kathleen, Kaila, Jose, Andrew, Rinny, Hyeji, Caitlyn, Axel, Faith, Hyejin

Polo shirts + jeans

6:30pm booth in lunch area for Mr. Nowak, Mrs. Barrios, Kathleen, Kaila

6:50     call time for performers – meet outside gym – with stands, music, clothespins

7          event starts

8          event ends – stands and clothespins back to Orchestra room

March 11 – 15

Pre-Festival Monday 3/11 7 pm Theater

5 pm    Concert Orchestra run through

5:30     Sinfonia run through, orchestra sets up theater

            Jose/Jacob/Domenic/Devon/Julian stack 35 orchestra chairs & set up in theater

Karen/Aida/Heba/Kristy/Sam/Raquel stack 28 stands & return to room

Solomon/Matt P/Axel/Andrew/Ignacio/Dan/Brady/Ryan set up blue theater chairs

6          pizza

7          Orchestra performs. Concert order is Drifen, Reverie, Symphony 8. Clinic with Mr. Watson follows.

7:30     Sinfonia performs. Concert order is Air, Bailes. Clinic with Mr. Watson.

Orchestra members stay to observe Sinfonia – listening assignment

SF students bring music for Air and Bailes and a pencil. Take notes as you listen – what looks/sounds difficult, what to practice, what Mr. Watson says, etc.

8          Sinfonia 1^st violins rack stands and return to room

            Sinfonia 2^nd violins and violas rack orchestra chairs and return to room

            Orchestra violins and violas stack blue theater chairs in back of theater

Festival Tuesday 3/26 Valencia HS SINFONIA

Concert dress

4:45pm call time outside band room

5          warm-up in band room

5:30     perform in auditorium

6          watch EHS/YHLS Sinfonia – listening assignment

6:30     dismissed

Festival Wednesday 3/27 Valencia HS ORCHESTRA

Concert dress

Period 2 report to Orchestra room, change, gather materials

9:30     bus leaves for Valencia

10:00   warm up in cafeteria

10:30   perform in auditorium

11:00   sight read in bandroom

11:45   bus leaves for EDHS

MANDATORY San Francisco rehearsals
